Network Marketing Success versus College Degree (google adsense affiliate)

By Ben Needles

In a recent discussion with another successful network marketer the subject of college graduates and even many doctors flocking to a Second Income Stream that soon becomes a Primary Income Stream.

In my own personal experience although I was raised by a successful entrepreneur I was always told, once you get a college degree you can then go into any business you choose.

My dad felt that to get anywhere in life you have to have a degree. Specifically what you study did not matter just the fact that you started something and saw it through was enough to make it in the Real World. This philosophy proved to be very expensive and would not create massive wealth and success that is available to students of MLM success using proven internet marketing techniques.

My Real World Experiences:
At age 10 I was told this summer you will not just ride your motorcycle and play golf - you need to go find work. My chosen career path was in the lawn maintenance business.

This was the logical choice as I grew up in a private resort community North of Houston Texas. Not only was I surrounded by wealthy friends of the family but the warm Texas climate made for year round job security.
After a few years as a lawn care professional, at age 13 I decided that an easier job was to open a pool side Snack Shack at the country club. So I set out to get the necessary permissions from the property manager and began creating a unique menu of International themed Hot Dogs as my feature item (my mom helped me with this).

W This Snack Shack was a great idea and required less Blood and sweat than the lawn business.

However, just one summer made me realize that in less than 4 hours of mowing lawns I could match a weeks worth of profits in the restaurant business. I re-opened the lawn business!

FAST FORWARD SEVERAL YEARS

I found myself far from home at Purdue University

Three Tips To Utilize with Email Address Marketing
By Jason Rusch

What is the most important part of email marketing? Obviously, email addresses. Even if you have a newsletter created, it does not good if you don’t have email addresses to send it to. Your email marketing depends on you having subscribers for your content. If you don’t know, it’s best to have several places on your website where someone can sign up easily. Make sure they can be seen. If you want to keep readers subscribed to your newsletter, you know you must have original, interesting content to go along with an advertisements.

Yet, there are three useful tips that can help you do email address marketing.

First, realize that people can make mistakes when they type. They make mistakes all the time when it comes to typing out their email address. Your newsletters won’t go to them, they’ll come back to you.

Solution? Have a place for the subscriber to type in their email address twice. That way if there is a mistake your software will catch and they will have to correct it. While, there is a small chance that people will be annoyed with this and may forget to sign up altogether, chances are you will save subscribers than lose them.

Second, remember email addresses change all the time. Make it easy for your subscribers to change their own email address. If you can, place a link in your newsletter directing them to the page that will allow this process. Have a place on the website that will allow them to change it as well.

Third, you need to give the subscriber an option to unsubscribe. While you really don’t want this, people do have the choice to keep what they want and toss what they don’t. Inside the newsletter email, place a link or directions allowing them to unsubscribe. People also associate this unsubscribe link with spam. If it isn’t there, the chances of the newsletter being spam goes down.

Remember if a person wants to unsubscribe to your service to have it go into effect at once. Should it take a week or more to stop receiving the newsletters, the person may associate it with spam.

There are three other methods to get email addresses for your newsletters. By utilizing these three, you can increase your triumph at email address marketing.

Contest Have a referral contest. Have drawings for both the referral signups and those subscribers who referred them to the site to win several prizes.

Discounts On your website, put a notice about discounts and offers that is only available to subscribers.

Advertising Use similar websites to advertise about your newsletter as well as any discounts. You don’t have to advertise on competitors’ sites though.

Legitimate Opt-in marketing vs. Spam Opt-in
By Jason Rusch

Both of them mean pretty much the same thing they are giving you the okay to send newsletter to an email address. That means someone has signed up to receive email from your website, thus giving you their personal email address. Afterwards this sign up, you can begin to send newsletters.

Remember that other sending the person who signed up, you cannot do anything else with that email address. This changes if it’s declared in the subscriber box. This means you cannot sell the email address to a similar website and webmaster.

How Spammers Use Opt-In Marketing

Spammers can take a legitimate way to do business and turn it into spam easily. The whole spamming process begins when a spammer mimics a valid site, down to the subscriber box. When people sign up on these sites, they mistakenly opt-in to receive spam. Even worse, when the spammer receives the person email address, they use it every way including selling it and many other emails to other spammers.

Opt-in marketing does not work in this way. When you opt-in to receive newsletters or other emails, the webmaster is to protect your information. It’s supposed to be designed so people do not receive emails they didn’t sign up for.

Double Opt-in Marketing

Webmasters are looking to double opt-in marketing methods to get their subscribers’ personal data completely safe. When you do a regular opt-in marketing method, the subscription box will can be filled with any email address. It stays that way until the person who signed up removes their name and address. Double opt-in marketing is different because only email addresses a person has access to can be entered. It is similar to the regular opt-in marketing in that an email address is entered and submitted. However, a confirmation email is sent to the registered address. This was created to keep owners of the actual email address in charge of their account. The confirmation email must either click on the link given or it be copied and pasted into the address bar in Explorer or Firefox.

When webmasters use double opt-in email marketing as opposed to the regular opt-in method, it lets subscribers know that they do care about guarding their information and giving them privacy.
